My Favourite Author

What impresses me most,the writing style,the vocab,the ideas,the suspense...........I don't know......but if I have to chalk down a few of my favorite authors,JK Rowling and Dan Brown would definitely be amongst the top two.....Actually they are the only ones who have had a lasting impression on me.No matter how many more I read I would never be able to forget the profound effect these two have on me.Don't know whether it was my adolescence that made me such an ardent fan of Harry Potter or something else but whatever be the case I must say JK Rowling is an amazing author.....Even after successfully reading the entire series about 10 times I just can't let it go.It immediately transfers me from a world of my own to an illusionary world of magic,wizards,aurors........a world anyone would want to be a part of...The feeling of knowing that everything is false yet you long to be associated with it is great.She succeeds in creating a world out of nothingness.........Such is her effect that you can't even help admiring the most loathsome character in her book.....Voldemort....

While JK Rowling has her style Dan Brown has his...........totally different yet so subtle and intriguing.He'll leave you gaping everytime you flip a page.Never will come a time when you'll be satisfied that what you have gathered so far is correct,he contradicts you everytime.....He'll prove you wrong the moment you draw a conclusion.Such is his writing style that while you read, apart from being in awe with the characters in the novel you'll also be in awe with the amount of knowledge he possesses.Never have I seen an author with such huge facts to support his writing.The topics that he chooses will never be irrelevant.He is always filled with a purpose.

Though I must've read numerous novels till date I can't compare these two genius with anyone else.Hats off to them.

Is Hardwork enough???????

I have spent considerable time pondering over this and every time I want to believe that yes it is the case,no body can stop you if you have the zeal,the passion to do something and are ready to put in extreme hard-work,I am proven wrong.I am proven wrong by my own experiences.The world here doesn't seem to notice how much hard-work you have put in,they just want the output.You are judged by whatever you show live,nobody cares how many sleepless nights you have had,how much research you have done,how much you have sacrificed.And the best part it even if you show the output you are not given the credit.The background that you have,the number of contacts you can show do it all.Its all about power and money and your molding capacity,how much can u fool others.Moreover nowadays people doesn't like being respected,they like getting fooled because probably they also know that this is ultimately what works.How does then people who don't conform to such means expect to survive in such circumstances?You either know how to charm people or you are doomed forever.Everyday when i get up i wait for a new start,where you will be appreciated for what you have tried,for what you have done,for what you are and for not what you pretend to be but by the time the day ends it dawns on me that these are false pretenses and waiting is not a solution.I am one of the many suffering from this,call it my luck or stupidity even after understanding what the world wants from me i don't really budge.

I want the world to change,I want people to realize that not everyone is born with a mind of newton.I want people to appreciate how beautiful it is when you sweat through and achieve something.What if you were not what you are?What if even you were one of us who want to achieve but by their own efforts?What if u did not have the power or the contact?In short I just want you to THINK......JUST THINK OVER IT.......

Power and then what?

What intrigues me most is what exactly is the most misued thing 2day,money or power?we say that with money comes power and that’s it...you dont need anything else in this world....nd i guess its true.........but then power in this context doesn’t only means the one to rule the country or the one which our politicians possess(that is the ones which entitles you a huge amass of public property).i m taking about the power that each one of us is having,the one to rule over,give orders to the one who is below us.how we never think of the person who is working on our orders,how we forget that what if we were in their positions,what if we would have been going thru such a crisis that compelling us to do such things,what if they were never there...who would work for us?someone once said that “with power comes great responsibility” but how many of us realise it when we use it,is infact astonishing.I m not saying that you should let the ones below you surpass you in any way,but before misjudging them,before scolding them,before using your power over them atleast think once that they are also human,give them punishment if they did something wrong but atleast once try and know what compelled them do it?speaking politely and with love can do wonders,harsh words once spoken never come back but if you would not have spoken them then atleast you wont have the grudge in your heart that someway or the other you also did something wrong.If god has bestowed us with anything, it is his then, not ours....something given can be taken back as well.......and as for power there’s always someone who is more powerful than you.........

Judiciary?where are we taking it

Being born in a family where studying law has been a trend since ages,i chose to do otherwise,preferred an altogether different stream for myself,engineering.Not because i never liked law but perhaps my hesitation that i might not be able to deliver justice all the time.And the main reason for this hesitation was seeing the current path where indian judiciary is heading.What had been formulated as an independent body,that would under no circumstances succumb to any pressures,and would deliver justice no matter who may be the culprit,is becoming a ludicruous thing nowadays,preferably for the powerful lot of our economy.It is true that judiciary till now has been kept away from all the political influences,but the constant oppositions to various verdicts by the supreme and the high court by the various political parties is proving it to be otherwise.The biggest example is holding of the death sentence of “mohd. Afzal” who killed several policemen and attacked the parliament in 2001.The complications of the law is one thing and the political involvement in this case is another.Another recent one is the dharm gurus raising voices against the section 377 verdict by the High Court.The thing is if we keep raising voices against the judgements and seek political involvement then time is not far away when judiciary would also become just a governing body whose decisions can be moulded anytime and by anyone.This is definitely not right because then we would loose all the purpose of justice and power will once again come in the hands of the money possessers.Though i chose to be away let not the current generation lot who have immense potential to do good here be away from it just because of some money diggers who seek to defame it.

Media....diverting from its purpose

It was not long time back when I was surfing the channels on tv when a very catchy slogan on one of the most popular news channel caught my attention,”blackmagic by michael jackson”...It was the day after MJ’s sudden death due to cardiac arrest and the mere topic left me gaping...not only this,slogans like “did michael jackson knew that this would happen??” and “did he actually die or is he still alive??” flooded the news channel.....I was more than shocked to see that the death of one of the most popular rock star of all times has been made a joke kind of thing for the rest of the world.Forget this they didn’t even leave his past life and kept on speculating what he was before....some animal,girl,wat?It was in simple words disgusting.....but this was not the first time,media has long lost its purpose......every now and then you see breaking news flashing....and the contents “the poor dog of this this celebrity finally died”....wow!!!!I guess the entire world would definitely die if they dont come to know about the poor little dog....The news nowadays hardly contains “news” after all.What is exactly the reason,is it the numerous news channels that have come up,or the race to increase their TRP’s is indeed a question.However even that doesn’t entitle them to go astray from their main purpose....after all they take the responsibility to inform and update the people as to what exactly is happenning all around us.If it was just entertainment we were looking for then we definitely have much more important stuffs to look at than the news channels.

What bothers us,accepting the truth or dealing with it.

It refers to the topic that you would find almost every day a section of the newspaper dedicated to,the right of the homosexuals and their lives.What should have been simply an acceptance of an order passed by the delhi high court turned out to be a major cause of dissatisfaction among many.The burning animosity between the “dharm gurus” and the “homosexuals” is taking an ugly route.A simple affair of what people do privately and their rights had been blown out of proportion by all.What i feel that we have no right to interfere in anyone’s private life,after all it is what democracy is all about,and the delhi high court did full justice by making the necessary changes in section 377.Our so called “dharm gurus” who call it an act that is violating our basic principles seems to have forgotten the very details given in the epics like mahabharata and the many others.There were instances like men turning into women to marry the ones they loved,and other tales of love between the same sex people,homosexuality is not something which has come into practice just now,it was there since long,and if we venerate and still call them epics are we doing justice by blaming the homosexuals for violating our morals.Just by passing a law against them wouldn’t keep these people away from doing it,what will eventually happen is that there would be no more public displays,but then who knows what happens when the night falls.Isn’t it unfair for the women who marries a homosexual unknowingly,because the guy doesn’t have guts to tell the truth.Its high time that we should accept what is there will prevail,no matter how many laws we pass,either we accept it and choose our own way or just try and ruin the lives of people involved because we just want to do it.
